About the church and community:
Hope Chapel is a family-oriented church that is passionate about loving God, loving people, and spreading hope! Our services are characterized by dynamic worship and the expository preaching of God’s Word. We are located in North Glendale, AZ and draw families from throughout the North and West parts of The Valley. About the positions:
The Worship Pastor of Hope Chapel will oversee and pastor both the worship ministry and related ministries that help to conduct our Sunday worship service (i.e. sound, media, streaming, band, singers, etc.). The Worship Pastor should have a heart for not only overseeing these teams but discipling those on the teams. The Worship Pastor will be responsible for helping these ministries conduct themselves with both musical/technical excellence and in way that leads to spiritual growth for those involved. The Worship Pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastor and serve as part of the pastoral team, participating in a monthly staff meeting, a monthly worship ministry meeting, and church wide events. The Worship ministry plays an integral role in not just Sunday Morning worship but the overall worship of the church and so will be involved in special services and events throughout the year.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a Spirit filled worship pastor who will lead others into worship by example, someone with a healthy spiritual life and strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This candidate will have a strong sense of God’s calling to a life of ministry and will have a resumé that demonstrates their pursuit of God’s calling to ministry through past ministry experience and education. While no minimum level of education is required, we value formal Biblical education and ministry training. Candidates with Bible College, ASOM, or other forms of formal Biblical education or ministry training are encouraged to apply. The Worship Pastor should possess both significant individual musical talent and the ability to help members of the team hone their own musical abilities across a variety of instruments and technical jobs.

• Self-starter who needs minimal supervision but is also open to collaboration with the Lead Pastor and pastoral team.
• Talented musician and worship leader. 
• Talented musical instructor and ability to teach/train a variety of worship related jobs.

• Team player. Although your job will primarily be leading the worship ministry, you will be a part of a pastoral team ministering to the church as a whole. 
• Love of God’s Word and Bible-centric preaching.
• Love of missions and evangelism. 
• Spirit filled worship leader who leads worship with a sensitivity to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Hours and Compensation:
This is a part-time position. While the commitment is significant, the position is also flexible so the candidate will be free to work a part-time or even full-time job in addition to serving as the Worship Pastor. The position will be salaried based on experience and availability with a minimum expected hourly commitment of 12-15 hours per week spent on weekly service preparation, rehearsals, group/1 on 1 pastoring of the worship team, and meetings/communication with the pastoral team and then monthly or seasonal workshops and fellowship events for the worship team and church special events. Specific office hours will not be required but the applicant should be available for team meetings, planning sessions, and other pastoral staff projects as scheduled.
